At New Earth Organization, I worked as an internal contract designer supporting a wide range of creative needs across the nonprofit. My role included leading the design and maintenance of the organization's website, ensuring the visuals stayed fresh, functional, and aligned with New Earth’s mission and expanding programs.
One of the most meaningful parts of my role was teaching graphic design classes to youth in the program. Many came from challenging backgrounds, and the classes gave them a creative outlet, real-world skills, and a new way to express themselves. It wasn’t just about design—it was about showing what’s possible through creativity.
In addition to web work, I created internal graphics used across departments—event materials, decks, social assets, and outreach tools that helped communicate with both youth and community stakeholders. The design system had to be flexible, clean, and adaptable for multiple audiences, from donors to students.
The mix of mission-driven work and direct mentorship made the role special. Whether designing for the organization or helping a student mock up their first logo, every part of the work was rooted in purpose.
